YOUR TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyzing next-generation sequencing data (exome, RNA, genome)
Working directly with a team to build computational predictive models (clustering algorithms, statistical models, machine learning models)
Interfacing with a team of computational and experimental biologists to aid in experimental and computational designs
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Self-motivated and a proactive thinker – can work independently and in teams
Relevant experience in statistics, genetics, and computational biology
Experience analyzing next-generation sequencing data (exome, RNA, genome)
Experience with biological databases (Ensembl, PDB, Uniprot, etc.)
Excellent written and communication skills presenting scientific data
2+ years of industry experience relevant to computational biology
Previous roles in managing teams and projects
Knowledge in any of the following fields: structural biology, immunology, protein engineering
Experience in building and testing statistical and/or machine learning models (support vector machines, random forests, neural networks, etc.) related to DNA/RNA/protein data
Experience in applying computational models to protein structure data (affinity prediction, protein-protein docking, homology-based predictions, physics-based predictions)
