Analysis of NGS data (Yeast-display screening, T cell receptor sequencing and RNAseq)
Curation of target genes for tissue-specific expression in cancer/normal tissues via the Human Protein Atlas and GTEx
Curation of and updates of top antigens identified by the 3T platform, with focus on novel TCRs and cognate peptide MHC complexes in solid tumors
Collaboration with data scientists and experimentalists to 1) refine quality criteria of novel target antigens and 2) apply deep learning and statistical algorithms to identify novel target antigens
Use of Amazon Web services to run computational pipelines in the cloud
Bioinformatics support to preclinical program teams to validate novel TCRs and cognates peptide MHC complexes
Bioinformatics support to the protein engineering group to identify the most promising TCRs for clinical development
Ph.D in Computational Biology, experience with gene expression analysis, structure-function relationship of ligand/receptor pairs in the areas of Immunology or Cancer Biology research.
Proficient in programming in C++, R, python, and/or perl. Familiarity with computational methods to identify peptide MHC complexes bound by TCRs based on sequence or 3D structure information.
Experience with parallel computing and Amazon Web services and tools to automate computational analyses. The computational biologist will report to the VP of Discovery Research.
Post Doc and/or 3 to 5 years of industry experience in computational cancer research supporting drug discovery programs, preferably in Immuno-Oncology, Autoimmune or Inflammatory disease areas.
Familiarity with genomic and proteomic databases, bioinformatics support for target identification and validation.
Application of deep learning and AI algorithms to identify correlations between physicochemical properties of biological compounds and experimental endpoints, including experimental data characterizing pharmacology and safety of therapeutic compounds, including TCR-T cells and cancer vaccines.
Hands on experience with the design and implementation of computational support to guide target identification and validation in discovery research.
Proficient in writing time-efficient and parallelizable scripts and applying deep learning and AI methods to analyze NGS data and/or structure-function data.
Integration of several data sources (computational and experimental), to curate and continuously update a list of top target antigens.
